Community Support in Action: Group970 Raises Over $6,000
One of the highlights of 2024 was the year-long fundraising effort led by Group970.
Thanks to their dedication, and the generosity of their participating restaurants, more than $6,000 was raised to support the Eagle Valley Trail and its ongoing community impact.
In the words of Group970 owner Brian Nolan:
“The Eagle Valley Trail is a valuable community asset… Supporting the trail is part of our commitment to giving back to the place where we live, work, and welcome visitors.”
Their leadership reinforces how essential local partnerships are in advancing outdoor recreation, trail development, and quality-of-life initiatives in Eagle County.
Construction of Phase 1 from Horn Ranch to the CDOT right-of-way made significant progress in 2025.
Construction Progress: Phase 1 Underway and Big Strides Ahead
This year marked major on-the-ground progress for the final segment from Horn Ranch to Edwards, a critical link in the Eagle Valley Trail and the larger regional recreation network:
Phase 1 construction is well underway, carving the trail across steep slopes and complex terrain in the Eagle River corridor.
These first miles reflect some of the most technical and costly Colorado trail construction efforts to date due to engineering, safety, and environmental requirements.
Construction has paused for winter, with barriers removed and traffic flowing normally. Crews will return in the spring to complete Phase 1 and begin Phase 2 of the final 7.5-mile section.
Watch the video below to see the scale of this progress, including aerial views of the terrain and ongoing work, in our new project video.
The Final Push: Just Five Miles Left to Complete the Trail
With construction underway and strong community support, only five miles remain to complete the full 63-mile Eagle Valley Trail. This final stretch is the most challenging and most expensive, and your support is essential to completing one of Colorado’s most important multi-use trail systems.
